TWIrecently provided support at Freeport-McMoRan's Morenci Operation. Assisting the Crush/Convey Division on a shutdown, we replaced liners and skirt boards on the 3, 4, and 5 chute's, and also assisted Martin Engineering with a major overhaul at the Metcalf Mill. The entire project was a huge success for TWI. Our Project Superintendent and our technicians lead by example, sharing our Workplace Examination Process and documentation with the other contractors who did not have a process in place. A great example of actively caring about others safety, regardless of competition!
TWI continues to be the premier contractor for Apache Nitrogen, a leading manufacturer of Ammonium Nitrate-based products . We perform repairs and maintenance on boilers, pre-dryers, pressure vessels, acid lines, ammonia lines and more. The ammonium nitrate production process has many inherently dangerous aspects. We work closely with Apache personnel to identify significant risk and implement adequate controls; ensuring the safety of all of our employees. Our ability to work safely, under inherently high risk conditions, has proven to make us a trusted source.
In 2014 TWI was accredited with the National Board "R" Stamp through the NBIC, and relocated to Benson AZ. Our new fabrication shop has over 11,000 square feet of work space, expanding our capabilities to perform much larger projects, to better serve our customers.
